Are all the treatments necessary?
Each treatment is seasonally designed to take care of specific types of turf needs at the precise time they need attention. Taking less than the full program can compromise the quality of your lawn.
Why do I still have weeds in the lawn?
Broadleaf weeds usually take up to 2 weeks to show signs of control. It is only possible to control weeds in the lawn, not eradicate them. Tougher broadleaf weeds may take multiple applications to show results. Broadleaf weeds can only be controlled if they are present and actively growing at the time of application. Fairway Green will use broadleaf weed control with each application when necessary for this reason. If broadleaf weeds are still present between 2-4 weeks after treatment, give Fairway Green a call and will be happy to return and provide another application at no charge.
Will my lawn be totally weed and insect free?
No. There is not a product available that can do this. By using the highest quality products Fairway Green can reduce the population of weeds and insects to the point that they are not visually noticeable or damaging. If at any time you feel the treatments are not effectively controlling weeds and insects, please give us a call.
Why don’t I see any product on my lawn?
Some of the products Fairway Green uses are odorless and not visible. Fairway Green also tries to keep all products off driveways and other hard surfaces. If at any time you have questions about an application, please call or e-mail us.
Does Fairway Green guarantee its service?
Yes! Fairway Green guarantees your satisfaction. Fairway Green prides itself in providing you with the finest lawn care service available. If you have any concerns, please give us a call or e-mail and we will respond promptly. Even if we have to repeat your application, your satisfaction is our primary goal. Each treatment is satisfaction guaranteed for 30-days.
What if I need special service for a special problem?
Fairway Green offers additional services for grassy weeds, disease, tree & shrub care and insects. These special services are provided to you upon your request at an additional charge.
Does Fairway Green apply products harmful to my children, pets or environment?
Fairway Green uses the safest materials available. Every product applied to your lawn or landscape is registered with Environmental Protection Agency for use on turf grass or shrubbery. All products are applied in strict accordance with the labels. If you are still concerned, try our organic fertilization for additional peace of mind.
How long do I need to stay off the lawn after a treatment?
When possible, try to stay off the lawn for about an hour after the application. This will allow the products to dry enough for continued enjoyment.
When can I cut the grass after an application?
It is best to wait 24 hours after an application to reap the full benefits. If for some reason the lawn was cut prior to the 24 hours, give lawn about 2 weeks to show results from the application.
What if I can’t water my lawn?
If you can’t water lawn due to its size, water restrictions or for any other reason, treatments will still be effective. However, it will take longer for the turf and broadleaf weeds to respond. In addition, your lawn may go into a semi-dormant state and lose some color and fullness.
Will rainfall immediately after an application affect the treatment?
No! Rainfall will not reduce the effectiveness of the treatment. In fact, moisture from rain or irrigation will often enhance the results of your treatment. However, if you feel heavy rain affected the application, wait a couple weeks and if you do not see weeds dying, contact Fairway Green with any concerns.
Will sod fix a problem area in the lawn?
If an area in the lawn has had a problem growing grass for years the answer would be no. Using sod in an area described above would be a short-term solution to a permanent problem. It would be better to identify the cause of poor turf growth before applying sod.
How long should it take to service my lawn?
Fairway Green uses equipment and technology to quickly and efficiently treat your lawn. The savings is passed onto you, the customer. The average lawn in this area will take about 7-10 minutes to treat.
Will I be left with instructions after each treatment?
Fairway Green will leave detailed instructions and additional recommendations after each application. Your Fairway Green Technician may leave recommendations on mowing, watering, tree & shrub care or anything that maximizes the appearance of your lawn.
How will I be billed for service?
An invoice will be left on your door after service is completed. Payment is due upon receipt. However, if payment is mailed in 10-days this is acceptable. Fairway Green offers you an opportunity to receive a discount for prepayment of the annual program.
